TO KISS THE SEA Character Art: Pasha

Last, but certainly not least, the third character artwork done by @celipher !

Pasha is the lead mermaid character in TKTS, a Little Mermaid and folklore retelling. Even though she and Ally first came to mind at the same time, I couldn't picture what Ally looked like at first. But Pasha? I knew immediately she didn't look like a "Disney" mermaid.

I freely admit this was the artwork that made me cry when I saw the completed pieces. I can't thank @celipher enough for bringing my lovelies to life!

QOTD: What did you notice first about Pasha?

[Image: A digital art piece of Pasha the mermaid, one of the main characters of the fairytale retelling novel TO KISS THE SEA by @ccwriter_ ; Artwork created by @celipher . Pasha is swimming through the sea cave she calls home, hidden beneath the island where Ally and Maher live. There are glowing corals scattered over the rocks and a stream of sunlight filters down from the surface of the sea. The skin of her torso is silvery gray, dotted with green and blue scales. She has sharp teeth and dark eyes, not unlike a shark. Long hair that shifts from light to dark blue hangs down her back. Her tail is covered with the same green and blue scales, ending in a feathered blue fluke. She has two pelvic fins, a slender dorsal fin, and two small fins above her fluke. Those fins are the same gray shade as her skin. In her hand Pasha holds a spear, the shaft made of luminescent green stone. A sharp end cap and the single tapered blade are made of the same black metal.]
