End of the #ChanceChallenge: Experience & Results + FIRST GIVEAWAY DETAILS
We have come to the end of the #ChanceChallenge!
Actually, the end of the challenge was on October 9, but all three of the pups picked up the same stomach bug this week (starting around 2:30am Tuesday morning) and I've been on nursemaid duty since then. Thankfully, we now have two out of three doggies feeling better, and one to go! Besides, this was nothing compared to the Great Canine Stomach Virus of 2016 that swept through our neighborhood.
Back to the results! Congratulations to everyone who participated, and a big thank you to YA author Kim Chance for sponsoring the challenge!
I didn't make my original goal of 60,000 words in one month, however, I am thrilled with the progress I've made! I made it to 22,655 words, and that was with not being able to write every day like I'd planned to. This gave me the confidence boost I needed to set my main goal for the final quarter of 2017: Finish the entire first draft by the end of the year!
The program we used for the challenge, MyWriteClub.com, was so helpful in tracking my progress I've decided to keep using it through the rest of this draft. If anyone is interested in trying it out, the site is free to use. Just click "Try the Beta" on the homepage, and you'll be prompted to create a writer profile.
That's it!
So, stay tuned for the giveaway kick-off this evening!
