My First Instagram Challenge: #MarchLitWrit
Hey there, Writing Desk Readers!
As I continue to connect with fellow writers and readers online and grow my social media accounts, it occurred to me that I'd never participated in an InstaChallenge before. So, when I saw the announcement about the #MarchLitWrit challenge, I decided to jump on board!
For those who are newer to Instagram or the concept of an InstaChallenge, do not despair! That was me a little over a year ago. I've been late to the party on several social media platforms, but now I realize how useful they can be for networking and learning from other authors who are in varying stages of the writing/publishing process.
How an InstaChallenge Works:
When an InstaChallenge is sponsored by an Instagrammer (or a group of Instagrammers), a schedule of daily themes is released to let the participants know what to expect. Challenges can vary in length, but from what I've seen most of them are for a month at a time.
We're only on Day 6, but I have seen so many wonderful posts from everyone participating in the challenge! My favorite theme so far has definitely been sharing the LogLine/Synopsis of my WIP (aka - Book Project #1). This was the first time I've really shared a (rough) idea of what my WIP is about. It was more than a little nerve-wracking, but I've received some great feedback!
I'm not ashamed to say it, I love my LogLine! |
Right now it appears like BlogEngine is the preferred blogging platform available right now.
ReplyDelete(from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?
Hi! I use Blogger.com for The Writing Desk Blog. It's the only platform I've tried out at this point, so I have no basis for comparison, but I will say I find it very user friendly.
DeleteIt is not my first time to visit this site, i am visiting this web page dailly and obtain good facts from here every day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, very much! That's great to hear!
