Writer Friend Spotlight: Kim Chance
Writer Friend Spotlight! Today I'm sharing Seeker, the sequel to Kim Chance's (@kimwritesbooks) debut YA fantasy novel Keeper.
Kim is a longtime friend from the online writer community, and we've done two interviews together on the Writing Desk Blog! (I'll share the links in my stories.š)
Seeker was a 2020 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards Gold Medalist, in YA Fiction Fantasy with "Themes of magic, romance, and the eternal conflict between good and evil will keep the pages turning until the very end." (Review from Children's Literature)
Since magic is a major theme in both Seeker and Keeper, tell me: If you could choose only one type of magical power, which would you pick?
š± Plant magician
šŗ Animal shapeshifter
š„ Fire bringer
š® Potions master

She sits in front of her bookcase, holding up a Kindle e-reader showing the in-color cover of Seeker by Kim Chance. A young woman with pale skin and long brown hair stands in a forest with her back to the viewer and hands held out by her sides. Her right fist is clenched, swirls of blue magic wrap up around her forearm. In the distance we see the faint outlines of two other people. The entire cover is done in shades of blue.]
