Happy MerMay!
What better way to celebrate than to reshare the amazing artwork @celipher did of Pasha, the mermaid MC from my fairytale retelling novel TO KISS THE SEA!
Throughout the month of May I'll be sharing different myths, legends, and trivia all about merfolk!
Did you know... The oldest recorded merfolk myth (over 3000 years old!) is about a freshwater mermaid?

QOTD: Would you rather be a freshwater or saltwater mermaid?

[Image: A digital art piece by @celipher of Pasha the mermaid from the novel TO KISS THE SEA by @ccwriter_ . Pasha is swimming through the sea cave she calls home. There are glowing corals scattered over the rocks and a stream of sunlight filters down from the surface of the sea. Her torso is silvery gray, dotted with green and blue scales. She has sharp teeth and dark eyes, not unlike a shark. Long hair that shifts from light to dark blue hangs down her back. Her tail is covered with the same green and blue scales, ending in a feathered, blue fluke. She has two pelvic fins, a slender dorsal fin, and two small fins above her fluke. Pasha holds a spear, the shaft made of luminescent green stone. A sharp end cap and the single tapered blade are made of the same black metal.]
